One reason Portland politics is the laughingstock of the rest of the country is the absurd rhetoric displayed daily on Craigslist. I call it "Shitstain Politics". Liberal and conservative alike are offenders as well as offensive. At least in New England, real debates occur with real points of view presented. Here, forums like this are basically namecalling. You sway nobody's opinion, you just raise bloodpressure. Using terms like "Libtard"," Republitard" and other hateful terms elicits nothing but your own bad Karma. You should all do some inner reflection on your own inner "shitstain". The majority of American humans are tolerant and middle of the road politically. You radicals of both persuasions isolate yourselves on the fringes of society. Maybe that's where you should remain. Portland deserves commentary TV like Portlandia, it pretty well satyrizes the political Kookpot this town is.
(note, I attest to the lack of intelligence to that city)
