Seriously, free doesnt mean free for all (my porch)

Ok, so I like putting up items I no longer need in the Free section here, and for the most part, I feel like everything I've gifted to others has made both parties happy, they get something new, I get to pay it forward and help others instead of charging them money. Today I put up a couch for free since we were replacing ours, I specifically said it was ONE ITEM: THE COUCH, and it was at the CURB. Whoever picked it up decided to come down the walkway and steal everything off of our porch except our jogging stroller, to which I can only surmise is because they could not figure out how to close it back up. Thank you for diminishing my faith in humanity a little bit more. One item at the curbside does not mean anything on the property that isn't bolted down.
