Gold & Silver – Well today Gold got up to $1514 and Silver got up over $49 pushing towards the $50 mark. The $50 mark is a big landmark for silver. It will hit it, profit takers will sell, it will drop and then it will march on up. I am expecting to see silver somewhere between $60 and $80 shortly. Gold should have no trouble breaking $1600 in the next few weeks. Conservatively we are looking at $2000 for gold by years end.

Oil Prices – Well now we are starting to hear talk of $6.00 per gallon in the USA this summer. Previously it was $5.00. In Europe $9.00 a gallon is common. US prices are $112 a barrel and the Brent is $123 a barrel. Gas prices at the pump are up in the $4.20+ range in some of the larger cities in the USA. The USA average for a gallon of regular is $3.88. Two weeks ago it was $3.76.

Currencies – The Euro is buying $1.45 USD. CAD buys $1.047 USD. AUD buys $1.07 (a real winner here). The CHF (Swiss Franc) buys $1.135 USD (another strong contender). CHF a few months ago was about $0.99 so it is up 14% in a few months, nice.

Food Prices – The Fed is saying that food prices will increase 3.5% to 4.5% this year. I would say triple this for a real estimate of food price increases. Look how they play with unemployment figures, debt figures etc. Now we will look at the middle east to see the causes of all this.

Syria – Being a true idiot, the son of a billionaire dictator, Assad has deployed Tanks, Snipers and Commandos to kill civilian protestors. In the first few hours hundreds have been killed over and above the 350 already killed. Perhaps the fruit does not fall far from the tree and this pathetic excuse for a leader is trying to exceed the death count his father ran up which is estimated to be over 25,000 civilians. This Assad is probably going to catch the wrath of the international community. The USA is talking sanctions. Syria has closed its border with Jordan using tanks and soldiers to do so. What happens to these dictators is they go paranoid. They get scared over defections amongst their inner circle and within the higher ranks of the military. They start sleeping in different houses each night. Then they start taking sleeping pills. The half life of the sleeping pills has them way off mentally the next day. Then comes bad decisions with the paranoia taking over. Assad did one big stupid move and now his situation will become markedly worse very shortly. Syria is just about into their new regime.

Iran – Now Iran is reporting their computers got hit with another Stuxnet type worm. Iran is being somewhat secretive about what it was targeting and damages. They call this worm “Stars”.

Toyota Car Production Drops 62.7% - This is due to the earthquake and related damage. They have a parts shortage. Losses for Toyota in second quarter are expect to be $12 billion. They expect to hit normal production in Nov and Dec. If people detect radiation levels higher than normal in Toyota or any other Japanese car, go out and short their stocks since they will be plummeting downwards and may drive these car and motorcycle companies into bankruptcy. People will resort to aftermarket parts makers outside of Japan to supply them with parts. This could very well be a likely scenario. The same could apply to cameras, TV's, watches and their other consumer products made in Japan that have high radiation levels. Not only with Casio and Seiko watches have dials that glow in the dark, the whole watches straps and all may be glowing in the dark.

Yemen Protests Deadly – Yemen security forces are starting to shoot Yemen protestors. Here we go again. Yemen with 23 million people is one of the poorest countries in the region. The President of Yemen is talking about stepping down but then says transition will take some time. The same old nonsense. Expect to see more violence as the protestors step up efforts to oust the dictator.

Kuwait – Kuwait gave the Libyan revolutionaries $180,000,000. Interesting. We need to dwell on this one some more.

Saudi Arabia - The dictators of Saudi Arabia are now going to build a mile high building called the Kingdom Tower. The Tower of Babel syndrome. It will be owned by the Royal Family of Saudi Dictators. Can you believe with all their problems these bone heads insult the people with a project like this. Talk about stupidity combined with arrogance. Pride cometh before a fall.

Wi-Fi Alert – Only use encrypted wi-fi at your home or business. A neighbor used a nearby wi-fi router without encryption to access child porn sites. This actually happened in Buffalo, Sarasota and Syracuse. It could also be used for hacking into bank accounts, distribution of copyright violating material, going to offshore gambling sites, using stolen credit cards and many other illegal things. The USA has no shortage of victimless crimes you can spend many years in prison for. They have the highest percentage of people in prison worldwide. You want to use WPA or WPA-2 encryption with a serious password that uses letters, capital letter and numbers. It should be 8 places as a minimum but 13 is far better. The fed will not know it is your neighbor using your wi-fi and may storm into your home. This results in the deaths of many people each year who are basically innocents. Using any sort of encryption in your wi-fi is going to help a lot. For the link go here:
