The Taliban publicly flogged and then executed a pregnant Afghan widow by firing three shots into her head for alleged 'OVER EATING". Bibi Sanubar, 35, was kept in captivity and starved for three days before she was shot dead in a public trial on Sunday by a local Taliban commander in the Qadis district of the rural western province Badghis. She was later punished with 200 lashes in public before being shot. Deputy provincial police chief Ghulam Mohammad Sayeedi told AFP, "She was shot in the head in public by law". After her death they discovered her weight gain was a pregnancy from her 57 year old husband. Her husband insisted she was pregnant but was told "we do not have those resources to verify your statement prior to death, we will cut her open and prove you wrong". They had executed him for over feeding her prior to her capivity, making her a widow prior to death and alloting all their assets to the executioner by shariah law.
