$500 I am not a communist! (PDX Metro)
But I do believe in community!
33 year old single male seeks more than a house! I've been living by myself for the last year or so, and I miss dinner gatherings, and Walking Dead parties, and game nights, and, and... people!
I do smoke cigs (get that out of the way) but do so outside, by preference. I also would rather other smokers do so outside, or in their rooms. Not much of a drinker, but an occasional social beverage or a few beers while camping/fishing. Otherwise, I can go months at a time without even thinking about boozing it up (Not much of a partier). I prefer not living in a 420 house, as the smell can bug me sometimes, but again, if outside or in rooms, no biggie.
My hobbies include gaming of various formats (no consoles though, personally. I don't own any, or even a TV!), fishing and camping, juggling, and plying my culinary talents upon hapless victims.
I have my own bedroom furnishings, so would prefer an unfurnished room. I also have some nice dishes, and a kitchen table with 4 chairs, but those aren't essential, and can go in storage if need-be. But I must have room on a counter for my crock-pot (Chili that will knock your socks off)!
I'm pet and kid friendly. Even willing to baby sit on occasion, if we get along. =) I have a niece and nephew almost 3 years old (Though the nephew lives in California) and another nephew who I think is about 4 months. If you've got a similarly aged kiddo, maybe they can be play-buddies!
I have aspirations for a community garden/urban farming project that will involve introducing people with yards, but no time/inclination/desire to upkeep them (especially elderly folks who don't get a lot of company), with people that don't have yards (students, apartment dwellers, etc).
If I sound like someone you might be interested in having around, feel free to drop me an email at this address, and I'll get back to you promptly! I need to move no later than February 3rd, and 500 is -almost- my cap, including utilities. But for the right home, I might go a little more!
I look forward to hearing from you.
