Sometimes all you hear about is the negative. For those who may have misinformation and care to read about it, here are some pretty concisw answers as to why Ron Paul should be considered.
WHY VOTE FOR RON PAUL
writer unknown
INTEGRITY:
First and foremost, is that Ron Paul is not a politician in the regular sense. While it is true that he has spent nearly three decades in national politics, it is clear from his voting record and by how he has been "blacklisted" by the Washington establishment and mainstream media that Ron Paul is beholden to no party or no special interests. Throughout his political career, Ron Paul has displayed no ambition other than to act in what he believes to be in the best interest of America. I am confident that his vote has never been exchanged for money or for personal or political advancement. Ron Paul is a leader with integrity, something sorely lacking in Washington and in the statehouses throughout our country.

CONSTITUTION AND LIMITED GOVERNMENT:
Another reason I support Ron Paul is that he respects and upholds the U.S. Constitution. Unlike others in Washington who are endlessly finding ways to circumvent the personal rights and freedoms and the limitations placed on government by the Constitution, Congressman Paul has shown an unmatched commitment to protecting individual freedom and preserving limits on government. He understands and defends (sadly, to deaf ears) the proper relationship between the citizens and their government and is the one candidate who would work tirelessly to reign in a badly out-of-control government that finds no bounds for regulation, taxation, and control.
FISCAL POLICY:
Ron Paul is also the only candidate who appears to have a clear understanding of the coming dollar crisis, a result of decades of political scheming and the destructive policies of the Federal Reserve Board. You and I are bailing out big banks and automakers, and loaning money to bogus companies through actions that amount to nothing short of theft and larceny. The Fed's policy of "Monetary easing" is Fedspeak for "money printing" and every one of the trillions of dollars being printed makes each one of the hard-earned dollars you've managed to hold on to (and, hopefully, not invested in Wall Street) worth that much less. Ron Paul has long been critical of America's monetary policies, particularly the Fed and the market distortions resulting from American fiscal policy. Our money is not sound. It is subject to the will of a handful of elites who have shown a strong tendency to care a lot more for each other than for you or me. Obama, Romney, and Gingrich aren't likely to change a thing in this regard as they all benefited quite well from the current arrangement. Ron Paul is the only candidate who shows any commitment to stabilizing our monetary policy and protecting the dollar, something that is not widely understood but vital to the future well-being of America.
DEBT:
I support Ron Paul because I believe he is the only candidate who is serious about ending the budget deficits that have imperiled our nation. Our national debt now exceeds $15 trillion dollars (that's $15,000,000,000,000). We don't need to trim our budget, we need to slash it. We can no longer afford the America we have become. All of the things our government has become and does are not necessary. Many of them aren't even constitutional. Ron Paul is the one candidate who would do all he could to slash all the nonsense. Is it sensible for a nation to borrow money from China to finance a welfare state, provide benefits to illegal immigrants, engage in war on multiple fronts around the world, and make sure certain private companies don't fail while others do? Welcome to the 2012 version of America. Ron Paul has a long record of voting against the spending that has threatened the sovereignty of our nation. More recently he voted against TARP, the bailouts, and ObamaCare. I don't see any other candidate who is committed to taking any meaningful action to stop America from being spent into oblivion. Ron Paul will.
FOREIGN POLICY:
Ron Paul has a distinct view on American foreign policy, a view that has been widely criticized as "isolationist," "reckless," and "kooky." He has indicated that as President he would seek the immediate withdrawal of American troops from engagements around the world, and would not use threatening rhetoric against Iran and other rogue nations that have openly expressed hatred for, and called for aggression against, America. He has also stated that he would end foreign aid to all nations, including Israel. I will be the first to admit, that among presidential hopefuls, this view is very unique.
But consider this: a nation that is as fiscally bankrupt as America really can't afford a military as large as we have, nor finance operations that are indefinite in both length and objective. I would also suggest that a nation as corrupt as we have become no longer has the moral authority to take actions that dictate the course of other nations. We have a president who authorized the assassination of an American citizen and has now been given power to detain American citizens in military lockups and denied due process of law as prescribed in the Bill of Rights.
Who supports Ron Paul's kooky foreign policy notions? Active military personnel do. Their financial contributions to Ron Paul's campaign exceed the contributions they've made to all other GOP presidential candidates and Obama COMBINED. Many evangelicals are up in arms about Ron Paul's plan to end foreign aid to Israel. It seems to me, however, that providing aid to Israel is more appropriately a duty of American Christians and American Jews than the federal government. The end of federal funding to Israel would provide an opportunity for the American Church to regain some of the relevancy it abdicated when it quietly watched the construction of the welfare state.
